electric toothbrush ≠ smart toothbrush
a normal electric toothbrush spins or vibrates and you can change the intensity, but that’s about it.
A smart toothbrush keeps track of how much pressure you’re applying and whether you’re brushing all your teeth correctly.
elements to include/design
- distinct modes but same head that can be replaced
- can be used without opening and checking the app every time and it doesn’t lose data
- wireless charger
- green light when pressure is correct + red light when it’s too much/too little (so you don’t have to check the app and you can know right away)
- reminders to charge the toothbrush from the app
- round edges are easier to clean in a bathroom environment
- timer
- wall support
removable head
- DuPont bristles (antimicrobial)
- BPA-free plastic
- selected layout/head shape: 5th option. Allows you to reach all the teeth, even the back ones. Two different bristle sizes for better cleaning.
